Project Profile

Kristin

School.

Kristin School had a vision to transform its netball court area into a space that could be enjoyed year-round, regardless of the weather. Rainy days had made it hard to use, so the Junior School came up with an exciting idea: why not cover the court? This would create a versatile outdoor space, perfect for both learning and play, offering protection from the elements – whether shielding from the rain or the summer sun.

In early November 2017, Nigel Wilkinson, Director of Business Services, reached out to Shade Systems to discuss the concept of a COLA Canopy® (Covered Outdoor Learning Area) for the court. After a brief review, Shade Systems was chosen as the trusted partner for the project, and within just three weeks of our first visit, we were on site to begin this project!

What stood out to Nigel was our ability to manage the entire project seamlessly, and our team kept him and his colleagues in the loop every step of the way. One challenge we encountered was the nearby high transmission cables, which required extra permits and planning. But, thanks to our careful coordination, the project stayed on track and was completed right on schedule – all within just four months!

testimonial.

We chose Shade Systems because the price was good, and I was impressed with the quality of the people that were dealing with us, and they could provide relevant answers and basically, demonstrate that they could meet the needs of the school.

I’d recommend Shade Systems, they made my life really easy, right from the point of signing the agreement, through the project management, what I really liked is that they kept me informed.
